Shane is currently pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology at Northern Arizona University, building on his undergraduate foundation in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Treatment Services from the University of Nevada, Reno. His previous research experience includes work on sensory conditions, where he explored how sensory experiences impact individuals with neurodevelopmental differences.

His hands-on clinical experience includes internships in Substance Use Disorders Counseling at Northern Nevada HOPES and forensic psychiatric work at Lake's Crossing Center. These experiences have shaped his understanding of the complex interplay between individual needs and systemic support.

Shane believes deeply in both personal empowerment and the crucial connections between individual and community well-being. He's seen firsthand how the right support can be transformative—enabling people to not just survive, but truly thrive and contribute meaningfully to their communities. This drives his commitment to advancing mental health awareness and advocacy at every level, from one-on-one clinical work to broader societal change.

Throughout his academic and professional journey, Shane has intentionally sought opportunities to work with people from all walks of life, developing the interpersonal skills that serve him well both as a consultant and as an advocate within the neurodivergent community. His approach combines rigorous clinical training with genuine human connection, always keeping sight of the person behind the diagnosis.
